What’s In Our Hands

I have heard about people who have things their way. It makes me laugh. What can one control? No one can even delay a moment from passing.

Crying out, Mine! Mine!, he is bound in bondage.
Entangled in Maya, he is reincarnated in heaven and hell.

So what is in our hands? To ask.

Never forget me, O Great Giver – please bless me with Your Naam. To sing Your Glorious Praises day and night – O Nanak, this is my heart-felt desire.

But is this the only desire in our heart? Not yet, but we can still sing this Shabad and hope we reach that stage.
